Oh, I thought that they were expressly banned. I'm looking for a STG-57 right now. They're pretty rare so I don't know if I'll find one or just fold and buy a G3 of some variety.

Ahhh, you’re thinking of an FN FAL style rifle. I do believe those got banned, or at least were made very hard to obtain.

SKS’s are cheap and plentiful.

It might be. Not easy to get a restricted license these days though. Basically anything that can be deemed semi-auto is not too hard to get.
